How to Generate HTML Sitemap and submit to Google search console?

How to Generate HTML Sitemap and submit to Google search console- Sitemap plays a key role in your website. Likewise, it is very important to submit it in Google Search Console. As I already posted about "How to setup your account in Google Webmaster Tool 2020". If you still don't know how to add your website on Google Console than visit on the above link. 

If you have an account on Google Search Console but don't know how to submit the Sitemap. Then, First of all, you need to know about  Sitemap.

What is Sitemap?

Sitemap helps you to crawl your URLs on Google and you can also manage the URLs that which post URL is to show and which don't.

According to Wikipedia, A site map is a list of pages of a web site. There are three primary kinds of site map: Site maps used during the planning of a Web site by its designers. Human-visible listings, typically hierarchical, of the pages on a site. Structured listings intended for web crawlers such as search engines. 

How to Generate Sitemap for Blogger?  

The Blogger Sitemap tool will generate a complete XML sitemap of your Blogger website with all your blog posts. For generating the XML sitemap, you need to visit on Blogger XML Sitemap. In this website, you have to enter your website URL. 

For Example    https://www.cm-blogging.com/   This is my website URL

As you can see in the above image, Just paste your URL in it and then click on the Generate Sitemap. 

As you can see in the above image, the sitemap is generated. Now you can copy this code and paste it into custom robot.txt in the Crawling and indexing Section of Blogger Settings. Se in the below image.

Remember: Edit your code with 

User-agent: *

Disallow: /search/labels/

Disallow: /category/

Allow: /

By this, you will not get the mail from Google Webmaster Regarding robot.txt file error. As shown in the image below.

Now you have successfully registered the XML sitemap for Blogger. 

How to add Sitemap in Google Search Console?

You just need to do one more step 

Login into your Google webmaster Tools

Click the sitemap button, As shown in image..

Enter your Generated XML Sitemap in the Submit sitemap section 

Remember without your domain, just follow by slash  "/".

Click on the Submit.

Congratulation, You have successfully added the sitemap in your Google Webmaster Tool. 

In a similar way, you can submit your sitemap in Bing webmaster tools....
